Terms & Conditions – Online Purchase

1. General

  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through our online store.
  • By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Product Information

  • We take care to ensure product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate.
  • As many of our products are artisanal and seasonal, availability may vary and substitutions may be offered if necessary.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT (where applicable).
  • Payment must be received in full at checkout before an order is confirmed.

4. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery options, costs, and estimated timeframes will be shown at checkout.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • If you choose collection, orders must be collected within communicated times. Uncollected perishable items cannot be refunded.

5. Age-Restricted Products

  • Alcohol can only be sold to customers 18+.
  • Proof of age may be required upon delivery or collection. We reserve the right to refuse release of age-restricted items if valid ID is not shown.

6. Allergies & Dietary Information

  • Customers must review allergen information before purchase and advise of any allergens in advance of purchase.
  • While we do our best to reduce risk, products may be prepared in environments where allergens are present — we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • We comply with UK consumer law regarding returns and cancellations.
  • Perishable goods (such as cheese, fresh food, or hampers containing perishable items) are not eligible for returns or cancellation once dispatched or prepared.
  • Non-perishable goods may be returned within 14 days in their original condition at the customer’s expense.
  • If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can resolve the issue.

8. Order Issues

  • If we cannot fulfil part or all of your order, we will contact you to offer:
    • a suitable replacement,
    • a revised delivery date, or
    • a refund for the unavailable item(s).

9. Personal Data & Privacy

  • Personal information will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law. We only use your details to process your order and communicate with you about it.

10. Liability

  • We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control (e.g., courier delays, extreme weather).
  • Once delivered or collected, responsibility for the condition and safe storage of perishable goods passes to the customer.

11. Changes to Terms

  • We may review and update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on the site at the time of purchase will apply.

Terms & Conditions – Events

1. Bookings & Tickets

  • All bookings must be made in advance and are only confirmed once payment has been received.
  • If you are booking a ticket as a gift, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the recipient is aware of the booking date and is able to attend.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 4 days before the event date are eligible for a refund or transfer to another event (subject to availability).
  • Cancellations made within 4 days of the event are non-refundable.
  • If you are unable to attend within this period, any cheese included in your ticket can be collected on our next open day, provided your booking is fully paid.

3. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

  • Guests must inform us at the time of booking (or at least 7 days prior to the event) of any food allergies or intolerances, including if you require a vegetarian option.
  • While we take great care, all food and drink is prepared in environments where allergens may be present. We cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.

4. Age Requirement

  • Wine tasting events are strictly 18+. Proof of age may be required.

5. Event Changes

  • We reserve the right to make changes to wine selections, food pairings, or event format if necessary.
  • In the unlikely event that we must cancel, customers will be offered a full refund or transfer to another date.

6. Responsible Drinking

  • We encourage guests to enjoy alcohol responsibly. If a guest appears to be intoxicated, we reserve the right to refuse service.

Terms & Conditions – Gift Cards

1. General

  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all gift cards purchased from us.
  • By purchasing or using a gift card, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Gift Card Type & Use

  • Gift cards can be used as payment or part-payment for:
    • Wine tasting events (subject to availability)
    • Eligible in-store purchases such as cheese, wine, and hampers
  • Gift cards do not guarantee access to a specific event date until a booking is confirmed.

3. Availability & Booking

  • All tastings are subject to availability — dates may sell out.
  • We recommend booking early to secure preferred dates.
  • If a chosen event is fully booked, the gift card remains valid for future dates or eligible shop purchases.

4. Validity Period

  • Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.
  • Expired gift cards cannot be refunded or extended.

5. Delivery of Gift Cards

  • Gift cards may be provided digitally or as a physical card (as specified at purchase).
  • You are responsible for ensuring delivery details are correct at checkout.

6. Age Restrictions

  • Gift cards may be purchased by anyone, but can only be redeemed by individuals 18+ for alcohol-related services or products.
  • ID may be required at the event or point of collection.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased.
  • No cash alternative is available.
  • If a booking made with a gift card is cancelled by the customer our regular event cancellation policy applies (e.g., no refund if cancelled within 4 days of event)

8. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards

  • Please treat gift cards like cash.
  • We are unable to replace or reimburse lost, stolen, or damaged cards.

9. Remaining Balance

  • Balance must be used in one transation as it can not be stored on the card
  • Balance cannot be transferred to another gift card.

10. Changes to Events

  • We reserve the right to change wine selections, food pairings, or event format where needed.
  • If we cancel an event booked using a gift card:
    • The booking can be transferred to another date OR
    • The credit returned to the gift card to rebook later

11. Personal Data

  • Customer information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws.

12. Amendments

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
  • The version applicable will be the one in force at the time of gift card purchase.
